Jakarta, 28 April 2023 – Bank OCBC NISP continues its solid performance in the first three months of 2023 by implementing a consistent and sustainable business strategy, accompanied by digital optimization. It is reflected in the Bank's net income which increased by 65.8% YoY in the first quarter of 2023 to IDR1 trillion. This growth was driven by 25.3% YoY growth in net interest income and a decrease of 51.3% YoY in allowance for impairment losses.
In the same period, Bank OCBC NISP also recorded loan disbursement increased by 11.6% YoY to IDR137.6 trillion. The Bank is also committed to maintaining the quality of loans disbursement, as proven by Gross NPL at the level of 2.4%.

New Features in ONe Mobile & Velocity, Make it Easier for Customers to Manage Their Financial Bank OCBC NISP continues to accelerate and transform banking capabilities, including its digitalization to present innovations and initiatives that are relevant to individual customers’ needs through ONe Mobile, an application to grow money, and for corporate customers through Velocity@ocbcnisp.
The convenience for individual customers to transact online using ONe Mobile Bank OCBC NISP is reflected in the increase in individual customer digital activities through the mobile banking application by 54% YoY. Currently, customers can also easily ask anything from services, promos, difficulties, to investments through Live Chat feature on ONe Mobile application. This feature also provides convenience when customers are abroad, so they can ask questions without incurring expensive telephone costs.
In addition, Bank OCBC NISP also launched the Life Goals feature on ONe Mobile - a new feature that is available for all customers, enabling them to plan their financial future goals by connecting their needs and investments products. The Life Goals category, which consists of Retirement, Education, Marriage, Travel, and Spiritual Tourism, will help them to be wiser in spending and managing their finances.
In Corporate Business segment, Bank OCBC NISP recorded an increase in Velocity users, an application that facilitates business transactions by 17% YoY. This growth indicates good acceptance from many more entrepreneurs toward the Velocity so that they are able to seamlessly grow and operate their businesses. One of the features that can help corporate customers run their business is Trade Finance that provides online-based Bank Guarantees, Letter of Credit (LCs) and Domestic Letters of Credit (SKBDN) that can be accessed through the Velocity@ocbcnisp platform.
Continuesly Support Entrepreneurs to #Step Up Their Business
Bank OCBC NISP is always committed to supporting entrepreneurs to step up their business so that they can contribute positively for the society. In March 2023, the company conducted OCBC NISP Business Forum 2023 to provide insights, ideas, thoughts, and views on the Indonesian and global economy to more than 500 customers consisting of corporate CEOs and entrepreneurs from Premier and Private Banking. This event was attended by the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno virtually; the Minister of Cooperatives and Small and Medium Enterprises, Teten Masduki, and Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia, Suahasil Nazara.
Furthermore, Bank OCBC NISP consistently implement a sustainable business. The Bank continues to disburse sustainable financing through green and gender based credit. As of 31 March 2023, the Bank has disbursed loans through #TAYTB Women Warriors program increased by 9.6% YoY follow by 12.5% YoY increase on Women Entrepreneurs.
In addition to sustainable financing, Bank OCBC NISP is the first Bank in Indonesia that received Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) from PLN with a total supply equivalent to 11,000 (MWh). Through this REC, PLN will ensure that the electricity purchased by Bank OCBC NISP is produced from renewable energy power plants and will be used in all Bank OCBC NISP branches throughout Indonesia.
