Jakarta, September 13, 2024 – Providing support for the Indonesian Basketball Association (PERBASI) in developing young Indonesian basketball talents, PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (OCBC) took part in the event “94 Feet of The Game Indonesia Basketball Camp 2024”. This event presents a senior basketball player who is also a coach of the National Basketball Association (NBA), Phil Handy, to provide coaching sessions to young basketball talents aged 14-18 years. Moreover, there will also be an exclusive meet and greet session with Phil Handy for basketball lovers in Indonesia.
Through this event organized by PERBASI, OCBC provides special benefits for customers, both new and existing customers, so they can get experience for coaching clinic and meet and greet with Phil Handy. Customers do not need to spend money from their savings to buy tickets. However, OCBC encourages them to save, according to the scheme that has been prepared by OCBC.

Chinni continued, “On top of that, OCBC also believes that in addition to the community having to be physically healthy by exercising, they must also be financially healthy or financially fit. This financial health can also go hand in hand with fun. Through this event, OCBC also wants to provide an opportunity for the sons and daughters of customers who want to develop their talents in the field of sports, especially basketball, and get direct experience with the famous basketball coach Phil Handy, while still saving so that their finances remain fit.”
For this event, OCBC provides various schemes that can be adjusted to the customer's wishes. Customers simply save in the Tanda Hadiah program according to the specified time period. Specifically for the coaching clinic session, it will be opened for 135 young basketball players aged 14-18 years, while for the meet and greet session which will be attended by around 200 people, without age restrictions.
The series of events “94 Feet of The Game Indonesia Basketball Camp 2024” will take place from September 25 to 28, 2024. On September 28, 2024, Phil Handy will be a speaker in the coaching clinic for basketball coaches who have a coaching license. Continued on September 26 and 27, 2024 coaching clinic sessions for children aged 14 to 18 years. The series will be closed with a meet and greet and also a talk show which will take place at OCBC Space BSD, Tangerang on September 28, 2024.
“94 Feet of The Game” itself is a brand from Phil Handy that has its own philosophy. 94 Feet is the length of a basketball court, meaning a basketball player must master the entire court, and must be able to use it to play the game, including offense, defense, and others.
“This activity is part of PP PERBASI's concern for the future of Indonesian basketball. For us, bringing in world-class coaches is a must so that in the future Indonesian players can find the standard as world-class players, as Phil Handy once trained in America who became a mainstay in the NBA,” said Ardima Rama Putra, Acting Chairman of PP PERBASI.
Phil Handy himself was a professional basketball athlete from 1995 to 2002, and became a basketball coach from 2011 to the present. As a coach, he has an unquestionable track record, having successfully brought his team to 5 NBA finals and 3 NBA champions, along with several strong and famous teams such as the Cleveland Cavaliers, Toronto Raptors, and the NBA winning team, the Los Angeles Lakers. He is also the favorite coach of famous basketball players Kobe Bryant, Kylie Irving, Anthony Davis, and many other NBA players.
In Indonesia, Phil Handy has also helped the Women's National Team reach the top 8 at the 2022 Asian Games which will take place on September 23-October 8, 2023 in Hangzhou, China.
