Jakarta, 30 July 2024 – PT Bank OCBC NISP Tbk (OCBC) has announced a solid performance for the first half of 2024. underscoring its commitment to provide comprehensive and innovative financial solutions for our customers.

Parwati Surjaudaja, President Director of OCBC, stated, “Despite the ongoing economic challenges, the bank's performance has continued to show robust growth. This is evident from the bank's net profit, which increased by 16% to IDR 2.4 trillion, compared to the same period last year at IDR 2.1 trillion.”
In addition, Return on Equity (ROE) increased to 13.3%. Moreover, the bank's liquidity condition remained healthy, with Liquidity Coverage Ratio (LCR) of 225.7%, surpassing regulatory requirements.
Overall, the growth in net profit was primarily driven by 7% YoY increase in net interest income, alongside the growth of credit distribution and 116% reduction in allowances for impairment losses on financial asset, primarily due to improved credit quality.
OCBC's credit growth stood at 14% YoY. Retail credit experienced a growth of IDR 13.3 trillion or 27% YoY, including credit from PT Bank Commonwealth, which has been a subsidiary of OCBC since May this year. Business banking credit grew by IDR 6.9 trillion or 7% YoY.
As of June 30. 2024. the bank has distributed sustainability financing amounting to IDR 34.99 trillion, of which 43% accounted for disbursement in the form of green financing.
Parwati continued, “With strong performance in the first half of this year, OCBC remains optimistic yet prudent in pursuing sustainable growth, continuously innovating to serve individual and corporate customers.”
This prudential principle is evident from the gross NPL ratio, which stood at 2% in the first half of this year. The Loan at Risk Ratio (LAR) stood at 5.8% in the first semester of 2024 which decreased from 6.2% in the same period last year.
On the funding side, OCBC's deposits (DPK) in the first half of 2024 grew by 11% YoY, with CASA composition of 56% of the total deposits.
OCBC's transaction volume through e-channels recorded 46% YoY growth, with individual active users of internet banking and OCBC Mobile increased by 26% YoY. For corporate customers, the number of users increased by 20% YoY and transactions through OCBC Business increased by 60% YoY.
From Lifestyle and Corporate Events for Customers to Financial Literacy Initiatives for People with Disabilities
In June 2024. OCBC successfully hosted its signature event, 'Premium Music Experience,' featuring David Foster and Friends. This event is OCBC's appreciation for customers who consistently choose OCBC as their banking partner. The event was attended by more than 10.000 audiences, a significant increase from the 7.000 attendees at last year's event.
In addition, OCBC has launched the initiative titled: “Semua Bisa #FinanciallyFit: Disabilitas Menyala Tanpa Batas”, a financial literacy initiative for people with disabilities, consisting of a series of workshops, webinars, and educational materials specifically designed to meet the needs of people with disabilities. The launch of this initiative was attended by Dante Rigmalia, the Chairman of the National Disability Commission (Komisi Nasional Disabilitas/KND), and Angkie Yudistia, Special Staff to the President of Republic of Indonesia.
Additionally, OCBC in collaboration with OCBC Singapore held One Connect Series 2024: Medical Technology Day, a two-days event that brings together various medical technology companies from Indonesia, Singapore, and China to collaborate and explore partnerships. This event was attended by the Indonesian Ambassador to Singapore Suryopratomo, the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia Sandiaga Uno, and the Director General of Pharmaceuticals and Medical Devices of the Republic of Indonesia/Plt. Head of the Food and Drug Supervisory Agency (BPOM), Dr. Dra. L. Rizka Andalusia, Apt., M.Pharm., MARS.
